Living Longer Living Stronger Instructor Training

Are you a qualified fitness instructor? Would you like to be an accredited Living Longer Living Stronger Instructor? If you answered yes to both of these questions then register for the next Living Longer Living Stronger Instructor training course.

This two day course is run over one weekend (12-5pm Saturday and 9am-4pm Sunday) and is facilitated by a post graduate lecturer in exercise physiology from Edith Cowan University.

The course contains modules such as physiological changes with ageing, psychological issues experienced by older adults, common chronic conditions and ailments, client assessment and exercise prescription among others.

Being a LLLS accredited instructor enables you to run LLLS sessions at any of our endorsed providers. Plus you get 11 Fitness Australia Ltd. CEC points! So what are you waiting for? Book now as places fill fast!

On completion of the course instructors will become part of the Living Longer Living Stronger Instructors Club and gain access to the instructor log in page at www.lllswa.asn.au. This page will be continually updates with the latest research and contain information about ongoing training and social events.

The Living Longer Living Stronger inservice training course has received notification of its acceptance as an Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA, formally AAESS) accredited program. Exercise physiologists and sports scientists are now able to collect 11 ESSA CEP points from attendance at our Living Longer Living Stronger Instructor Training.

Matthew Harris

Qualifications

Experience

Matt is a clinical Exercise Physiologist, founder and CEO of Exercise For Life, which is an integrated health program designed to assist in the prevention and management of chronic health issues.  From his origins within the School of Sports Science, Exercise and Health at UWA, Matt is a consultant for the AIM●UWA Business School Alliance in the areas of wellness and stress management. In addition to his clinical exercise physiology and presentation skills, Matt lectures in the post graduate program in Exercise Physiology at Edith Cowan University.

Matt has presented the Living Longer Living Stronger Training seminar in both the regional and city areas for a period of 5 years, and runs the Living Longer Living Stronger program in both of his Exercise For Life centres.

Being an Exercise Physiologist Matt is committed to assisting people to achieve optimal and sustainable health outcomes.  Through his involvement in developing, facilitating and presenting various focus seminars, Matt has developed a key understanding in what motivates people and what empowers them to implement effective health and lifestyle changes.

Adam Floyd

Adam graduated dux of his physiotherapy class in 1997 and has been working in private practice for 11 years. He is the director of Regenerate Physiotherapy in Perth, Western Australia, which incorporates a commercial rehabilitation facility called Regenerate Fitness and Rehabilitation. The centre specialises in exercise programs for clients with osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, spinal pain and other musculo-skeletal injuries and pain.

Prior to studying physiotherapy, Adam completed a Human Movement degree from UWA with first class honours in exercise physiology. He has worked in the fitness industry for 19 years including working as a PT and a facility manager. He also has a Certificate 1V in Workplace Assessment and Training.

Adam has presented rehabilitation and injury management seminars and training to the fitness industry for 9 years. He presents both nationally and internationally at industry conferences and conducts in house training for various health clubs. He has been conducting the GymED series of seminars in Perth for 9 years with all seminars booked out well in advance. He has also been contracted to develop instructor training courses for the Living Longer Living Stronger program.

Adam is a member of the Australian National Speakers Association and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
